Product Description

At A & M Manufacturing Company, we specialise in the Forging of high-quality shafts for a wide range of applications across industries. From automotive to aerospace, our forged shafts are renowned for their strength, durability, and reliability, making them indispensable components in various mechanical systems.

What Are Forged Shafts?

Forged shafts are cylindrical components that transmit rotary motion and torque in machinery and equipment. They are commonly used in power transmission systems, such as engines, turbines, gearboxes, and drive shafts, where they play a crucial role in transferring rotational energy from one component to another.

Main Applications

Forged shafts find extensive applications in industries such as automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, marine, and manufacturing. They are used in critical components such as crankshafts, camshafts, axle shafts, and propeller shafts, where high strength, fatigue resistance, and dimensional accuracy are essential for optimal performance and reliability.

Manufacturing Capabilities

Our state-of-the-art forging facilities enable us to produce forged shafts of various sizes, shapes, and materials to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Whether it's a small shaft for a precision instrument or a large shaft for heavy-duty machinery, we have the expertise and technology to deliver forged components that meet the most stringent requirements.

Forging Process

The forging process involves shaping heated metal billets under high pressure using dies and presses to achieve the desired shape and dimensions. This process results in a fine-grained microstructure and improved mechanical properties, including increased strength, toughness, and resistance to fatigue and impact.

Quality Assurance

At A & M Manufacturing Company, quality is paramount in everything we do. We employ rigorous quality control measures throughout the forging process to ensure that our shafts meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. From material selection to final inspection, we adhere to strict quality control procedures to deliver forged shafts that exceed our customers' expectations.
